DEER & RABBIT REPELLENT
A clear plan for
protecting plants.
Deer Fear is a coffee-and-garlic deer and rabbit repellent in a micro-pellet format. Apply it on the ground around the plants or planting areas you want to protect, following the package directions.
Using the product.
Start with the area you want to protect
The directions cover flowers, gardens, shrubs, fruit trees and landscape beds. Apply around the base of plants or around the perimeter of the area to be protected.
Understand the reapplication schedule
The label describes a typical 3–4-week protection period under normal conditions and recommends reapplication every 3–4 weeks. Reapply after heavy rain, irrigation or when scent diminishes; refresh after new deer activity. Actual duration varies with conditions.
Rain resistance does not mean rainproof
The label explains that heavy rainfall or frequent watering can reduce odor strength even when pellets resist dissolving. Warm, sunny conditions and high deer pressure can also affect how often an application needs refreshing. Visible pellets alone do not mean the scent remains equally strong.
PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
How to apply Deer Fear
- 1
Sprinkle pellets in a visible band around the base of plants or along the perimeter of the protected area.
- 2
Keep the product on the ground. Do not apply directly to edible portions of plants.
- 3
Reapply every 3–4 weeks as directed, and refresh after heavy rain, irrigation, diminished scent or new deer activity.
- 4
Close the lid after use and store the container tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
Use and storage precautions
For outdoor use only. Do not ingest or use as food or feed. Avoid contact with eyes and wash hands after handling. Keep the container tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Follow the label’s storage and disposal directions.
ASSOCIATE QUICK START
Be ready for the aisle.
“Deer Fear is a coffee-and-garlic repellent for deer and rabbits. You sprinkle a visible band on the ground around plants or a bed perimeter. The label gives a 3–4-week reapplication schedule, with refreshing after heavy rain, irrigation or fading scent.”
Ask before recommending
- Are deer or rabbits damaging the plants?
- Are you protecting individual plants, a planting bed or a larger perimeter?
- How frequently is that area irrigated?
Three things to remember
- Apply on the ground in a visible band—not to edible plant parts.
- Explain the normal 3–4-week schedule and the weather-related reapplication directions together.
- This is a repellent, not food or feed. Keep it distinct from STAG.
