Build the plant. Shape the products. Grow the future.
An invitation to become Plant Manager at Hull & Husk—leading the pellet plant, strengthening the process behind every product, and helping build the company’s next chapter.
We understand that a career decision is also a family decision.
Grant, this opportunity has been structured with that reality in mind. The Tuesday-through-Thursday schedule, transit support, and company-paid lodging in Bamberg are intended to make the role practical—not only professionally, but personally. The promise is a serious leadership role that respects the importance of home, time, and long-term fit.
More than keeping a plant running.
Hull & Husk is looking for a trusted, hands-on leader who can turn good work into a repeatable operating system—one that protects safety, strengthens quality, improves reliability, and gives every product line room to grow.
Lead the operating rhythm
Set the plan, create clear standards, solve problems at the source, and give the team a dependable way to work.
Make quality repeatable
Build practical checks and disciplined processes so consistency is designed into every production run.
Prepare the company to scale
Help shape future capacity, equipment decisions, staffing, product launches, and broader operations leadership.
What the work will look like.
As Plant Manager, Grant would own the plant’s day-to-day operating rhythm and strengthen the systems that turn raw materials, equipment, people, and product standards into safe, consistent, scalable production.
Plant operations
Lead scheduled production from startup through shutdown and keep priorities clear before each day begins.
Process discipline
Create useful procedures, checklists, run standards, and handoffs that make performance repeatable.
Quality and consistency
Establish practical in-process checks for each product family, including packaging and finished-product standards.
Maintenance and uptime
Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and prioritize repairs or upgrades that protect output.
Materials and inventory
Keep raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods visible, controlled, and ready for the production plan.
Team leadership
Set expectations, coach the team, reinforce safety, and create accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Continuous improvement
Use simple operating data to improve throughput, yield, changeovers, housekeeping, quality, and cost.
Growth readiness
Partner with leadership on capacity, equipment, new products, staffing, and the company’s longer-term manufacturing plan.
Three product families. One operating standard.
Each product family has distinct market needs. Grant’s opportunity is to create the discipline that lets each line grow without losing consistency, readiness, or trust.
Dependable runs. Repeatable quality.
Build clear run standards, reliable output, and production readiness so STAG can grow on a stronger operating foundation.
Prepared when demand calls.
Strengthen material control, quality checks, packaging discipline, and production consistency around Deer Fear’s market needs.
Trust begins in the process.
Help establish the cleanliness, material-selection discipline, flavor consistency, handling, and packaging standards expected by cooking customers.
A runway to learn, stabilize, and improve.
The role begins with listening and understanding, then moves quickly toward useful standards and a practical roadmap. The aim is not change for its own sake; it is a plant that becomes safer, steadier, and easier to scale each week.
Learn and stabilize
Walk the process, understand the equipment and team, address immediate safety or reliability needs, and establish a dependable weekly rhythm.
Standardize and measure
Document core procedures, define useful production and quality measures, strengthen preventive maintenance, and clarify product standards.
Improve and prepare to scale
Prioritize the highest-value improvements, present a plant roadmap, and build routines that support capacity, new products, and team growth.
A focused schedule with meaningful upside.
The compensation reflects an $80,000 full-time annualized rate, prorated to a three-day workweek, with practical travel and lodging support plus an ownership opportunity tied to active service.
